Checkpoint 3
Grab the 1up Oyster in the corner behind the steps, then go up the steps proper to collect two Red Gems and a Blue. Take out the Electro and Laser Gnorcs at the top for two Blue Gems, but instead of Gliding to the next metal floor, drop down to the ground in front of it. There, get the two Blue Topper Chests and go along the left side of the building to find a lower area.
Grab the three Chests with two Blue Gems and a Green, collect the three Red Gems and single Blue around the corner, then kill the Laser Gnorc at the end for his Green Gem. Turn right, collect the three Red Gems, then kill the three Gunners at the far end for two Blue Gems and a Green. Collect the two Red Gems in the back-left corner, then go up the ramp on the right to make it back to the steps.
Jump back up the steps and Glide to the next metal floor and kill the two Gunners and the Electro Gnorc to get two Green Gems and a Blue. Glide to the next Metal Floor and kill the Electro and Laser Gnorcs there for two Green Gems, then ride the Whirlwind up. From here, go to the far edge and look right to spot a ledge with a Green Gem on it; glide over to pick it up, then open the Fan Chest to collect a Gold Gem. Hop up the steps to the right of it so you can collect the two Blue Gems from the Chests and the Green Gem on the outcropping.
Next is a daring move. Stand on the outcropping where the Green Gem was and face the right edge of the building where the last metal floor and Electro Gnorc are. Do your best Glide and turn left once past the corner of the building to drift onto a new ledge with five Red Gems on it. Glide to the rooftop with the two Red Gems and collect them, as well as the two Blue Gems and the lone Green from the Metal Chests. Hop up the rooftops and grab the Gold Topper Chest and the two Blue Gems from the Basic Chests.
If you’re playing on PS4 or XBO, your next move here is crucial to getting the “Rocketeer” Trophy. The goal is to light all three Fireworks in the level within 15 seconds. The first two Fireworks are easily located, however to find the third, stand on the orange rooftop closest to the pad of the first Dragon, Claude, and stand on the corner closest to the pad. Hold down Triangle/Y to look directly down and spot the Firework.
With that done, go to the Firework furthest from the pad and stand on the corner closest to the Sealed Chests, facing the Firework. Light it, dash to the one on the second rooftop to light that one, then drop off the corner of that rooftop closest to the Dragon Claude’s pad and light the Firework on the ground there. If you did it quickly enough you’ll have earned the Trophy! If not, remember that you can always give it another shot by re-entering the level.
Once you’re done lighting the Fireworks, you’ll have opened the three Sealed Chests in the level. Find the first two to the left of the second metal floor, where you can collect three Blue Gems, two Green Gems and three Reds. To reach the third Sealed Chest’s Gems, return to the rooftop where the Firework furthest from Dragon Claude’s pad was. Look right to spot the rooftop with Gems on it and pick up the three Red Gems, three Green Gems and one Blue Gem from atop it.
Now to finish off the level. Return to and ride up the Whirlwind, then glide to the ledge on the right that leads to where the Fireworks were. Once there, turn left towards the Electro Gnorc. Time your jump and Glide over so that you get to him when the ground is safe. Flame him to collect his Green Gem.
If you’re playing Reignited, making it into the room behind that last Electro Gnorc without getting shocked by any of them will get you this level’s Skill Point!
Head inside the room to pick up a Red Gem, a Green Gem, two Blue Gems, a Gold Gem from the Chest, and the Gold and Blue Topper Chests. Congratulations, that’s this level done! Take the Return Home Vortex back to the Beast Maker Home, it’s time to take on Misty Bog.
