You can find Misty Bog’s Portal by going to the low islands where the Warthogs are, between the starting area, the island with the hut, and the island with the tree.

Checkpoint 1

advertisem*nt

When you first land, there will be a Chicken in front of you. You'll want to chase it so that it flees to the back of the island behind the curved wall and into a wooden cage, where a Gnorc Dude will catch it. Kill the Gnorc Dude for a Blue Gem, then pick up the other two Blue Gems next to the wall.

If you’re playing on PS4 or XBO, you can get the Cage Free Trophy attacking the cage the Chicken got itself trapped in.

Return to the start and Glide over to the steps and jump up them. Ahead will be one of the trickiest enemies in the game, the Dragon-Eating Plants (although I’ll keep it to just Plants from now on). These guys pounce on you very quickly, so you must use your Flame attack extra early to take care of them. Kill the ones in the field to collect three Blue Gems and a Green, then collect the four Red Gems and two Greens from the right side of the field.

Glide over to the next steps, collect the 1up Oyster to the right of the arch, then turn right to spot three Chests with two Blue Gems and a Green. Next, carefully approach the blue Attack Frogs in the main area. While they may look like Fodder, like the Dragon-Eating Plants these guys can attack fast and far, so be extra careful when approaching them for the kill. Take them out for four Blue Gems, then smash the three Chests next to the building ruins for a Blue Gem and two Greens. Continue anti-clockwise around the building to find another 1up Oyster and a Chest with a Blue Gem.

Return to where the Attack Frogs were and collect the two Red Gems and the Blue Gem near the Fan Chests, then open the Fan Chests to collect two more Blues. Continue forward and kill the three Plants to collect two Blue Gems and a Green from then, then check to the right of where they were to find three more Green Gems. Hop up the large tree stumps nearby to free the Dragon Rosco.

Checkpoint 2

Before heading on, jump onto the tallest tree stump here and look for the island where the Warthog is chasing the Gnorc Dude. Kill them for a Gold and Green Gem, then collect the three Blue Gems in the middle of the island. Use the tree stump in the water nearby to get back to Rosco’s pad.

Jump onto the wooden walkway in the water visible from here and Charge the five Gnorc Dudes to collect four Green Gems and a Blue. At the last one, stop and turn around so you can locate the island in the water where the Gnorc Dude is trying to catch a Chicken. Collect his Green Gem, then hop up the tree stumps in the water to collect six Red Gems. Glide over to the next island and kill the three Attack Frogs to collect two Blue Gems and a Green.

Hop up the stairs, smash the three Chests at the top for three Blue Gems, then carefully go to the next area. This spot is filled with Attack Frogs and Gnorc Dudes, so the safest way to kill all of them is to either take them out methodically one-by-one, or just Charging through the whole lot. Do so to pinch their six Blue Gems and four Green Gems. Jump up the steps and rescue the Dragon Damon.

Checkpoint 3

Jump up the steps nearby and go left, picking up three Red Gems, three Green Gems and two Blue Gems along the way. From the end, Glide back to the island where you first met the Attack Frogs and return to the wooden walkway in the water. Collect the four Red Gems and Single Blue, kill the Gnorc Dude for a second Blue, then smash the Chests to his left to collect two Greens and a Blue. Hop up the tree stumps nearby to grab nine Red Gems, then heed the directions of the Arrow Fairy and jump down the hollow log in the water.

At the bottom, kill the two Gnorc Dudes and the pair of Plants to collect three Green Gems and a Blue, then turn around and smash the two Gold Topper Chests behind where you landed, plus the Basic Chests with a Green and Blue Gem. Jump up the steps on the other end of the room to rescue Zeke the Dragon.

Checkpoint 4

In the next room, kill the two Attack Frogs, the Gnorc Dude and the Warthog to collect three Green Gems and a Blue (although pay attention to the Warthog as he’ll charge right at you when you get close). Sweep up the four Red Gems to the left of the next Attack Frog, then the Attack Frog itself and the Warthog ahead for two Blue Gems.

In the next area, carefully take out the two Warthogs and the three Gnorc Dudes to collect two Green Gem and three Blue Gems, then collect the seven Gems in the plaza they were in. Check the area around the plaza to find a Gold Topper Chest, two Chests with a Green Gem each, and the ruins of a stone building with three Gems and two Green Gems in Basic Chests. Jump up the steps nearby and locate the Return Home Vortex; there will be two Metal Chests next to it with a Blue Gem each. Do that, then rescue the Dragon Bubba.

Checkpoint 5

So with the Return Home Vortex in plain view, where are the other 93 Gems in this level? To find them, stand on the short stone block next to the steps that’s closest to the Vortex. You’re looking for a building nearby with some Topper Chests visible on the roof. To reach it, Glide to the stone building ruins between you and it, then Glide to the side of the ruined building where the broken wall conveniently forms some steps. Jump up them to the roof and collect four Red Gems, two Blue Gems from the Metal Chests, and the Gold and Blue Topper Chests.

Next, go to the corner of the building where the wall-steps ended to see some tree stumps in the water of the upper section. Glide over to them and jump up them to the walkway, collecting four Red Gems on the last one. Charge through the line of six Gnorc Dudes on the walkway to collect five Green Gems and one Blue. Now hop up the steps in the tree at the end to find three Basic Chests and three Fan Chests. Between them they’ll have three Blue Gems and three Gold Gems, completing your collection! Backtrack down the walkway and Glide back to the Return Home Vortex. It’s now time for Spyro’s most infamous level: Tree Tops.
