The Hidden Key

If you're short by about 70 Gems and can't find the Key to the Strong Chest, go to where the Metalhead Portal is at the end of the level and hop up the stairs behind it. At the top, turn right and go to the corner of the building where the Gems are. From here you should Glide to the tree stump visible in the distance with the Key on it, then Glide right to another stump to make it back. Use the Key on the Strong Chest in the plaza below the Metalhead Portal.

Among the Tree Roots

If you're still missing ten Gems, go to the Portal for Tree Tops and go clock-wise around the tree and over the root behind the Portal. A Gold Gem will by lying between the roots of the tree.

Terrace Village

To the Right of the Building

If you're missing five Gems, go to the steps that lead up to the first Dragon, Claude. At the bottom, check behind the right side of the steps to find a Chest with a Blue Gem.

Fireworks Rooftops

If you're missing a boatload of Gems and can't figure out how to open two of the Sealed Chests, ride the Whirlwind near the end of the level up and glide to the ledge visible on the right. Hop up the steps and stand on the outcropping on your left. Face the building where the Return Home Vortex is and Glide around the right-hand corner. Turn left as soon as you go past it to land at the start of a series of rooftops that will take you to the other two Fireworks you need to open the Sealed Chests.

The Early Ruin

You can find a Blue Gem by going to the first island with the blue Attack Frogs and going to the building ruins on the left-hand side. Go anti-clockwise around it to find a Chest with the Gem inside the building remains.

Building Glide and Climb

If you're missing 93 Gems and can't figure out how to get on top of the building with the Topper Chests on the roof near the end of the level, go to where the Return Home Vortex is and stand on the stone block closest to it. Look towards the building and you should have a smaller stone building ruin between you and it. Glide to the smaller ruin, then Glide to the wall of the bigger one you want to get to. The wall makes convenient steps you can use to jump up to the roof. To find the rest of the Gems, look for the tree stumps in the water of the upper area visible from the corner where the wall-steps met the roof.

Tree Tops

The Two Hard Jumps

There are two spots in the level that are extremely difficult to get to if you don't know how: the island with the third Dragon, and the upper area of the last island where the Red Thief is. The video above will guide you in how to get to them, and Instructions for how to get to there are in the walkthrough for Tree Tops under the section "The Two Hard Jumps".

Metalhead

Atop the Early Buildings

The last Gems in Metalhead are often these ones. In the opening section you'll cross a wooden bridge over a river of green ooze. If you look right while on the bridge you can see a spot in the green river where there's a hole in the grating. Glide down to the ledge in front of it to the left and then Glide through to the other side to find more Gems, as well as a Key used for the locked Strong Chest in the final boss arena. There's also a Whirlwind here that will take you to the rooftops at the start of the level with more Gems!

Boss Arena Locked Chest

After you've gotten the Key in the above area, continue until you're at the end of the tunnel just before the second Metalhead arena. Look left to see some ledges you can hop across to find more Gems and a Strong Chest to use the Key on.

The Corner on the Building Ledge

If you're still missing 15 Gems, go to the back building of the second Metalhead arena and ride the Whirlwind inside. Follow this route to the outside of the building all the way around to find two Chests with a Blue and Red Gem.
